Re: Fedora 12 won't shutdown on HP Tx2 Tablet
Appreciate helps,
My kernel is: 2.6.31.5-127.fc12.i686
yum could not find 'kmod-wl' nor 'akmod-wl'
did yum update
# lspci- -vnn | grep 14e4
08:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:432b] (rev 01)
Google around, B43 will not work for the n draft, was trying to make STA hybrid driver from Broadcom.
#make failed in the first line:
could not find /lib/module/`uname -r`/build
the ./build is a link to /usr/src/kernels/`uname-r`
But the folder doesn't exist,
downloaded akmod-wl-5.10.27.6-5.fc10.5.x86_64.rpm and attempted #rpm -ivh akmod-wl,
error: Failed dependencies:
akmods
kmodtool
wl-kmod-common
all claimed not available when searched by yum.
That's my end of story for now.
About the power down, my issue was every attempt of 'shutdown' either pull me out of gnome or just reboot the whole system.
I guess I will have a lot of fun playing with my fresh Fedora.
