Today's Update Generates Odd Desktop and Error

Rebooting for the first time after today's update does strange things. Logging off and back in does the same thing. Every folder and file in my home directory shows up on the desktop. And an error box pops up containing:
Code:
Could not display "x-nautilus-desktop:///".

Error: DBus error
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name
org.gtk.vfs.Daemon was not provided by any .service files
Please select another viewer and try again.
I haven't found anything helpful in the /var/log yet, so I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas.

Thanks,
dd_wizard
