Graphic glitches on GNOME panels.

Hi.

I normally used Fedora 12, when panels gets this strange glitches:




I've using Fedora for 2 months and this never happened before. GNOME and GDM version are 2.28.2 and graphic driver are open ATi/Radeon. Nothing worked to fix this - deleting .gconf and rest of GNOME configuration files.

Same here

I tried to set the panel to transparency and this distortion appeared. So i set I to a matching color no transparency and finish.
It's not this important to me. If someone knew however it'l be nice to fix.

Same issue here after updates to xorg today.
When panel background is set to "None (use system theme)" then everything is fine.
When set to "Solid Color" then the panel display is borked.

Yep, I got it too after latest updates. Other items of interest. I have Compiz running with transparent window decorations and they are fine, it's only the Gnome Panel and only then if transparency is being used (well, attempted). The Gnome panel transparency was fine before the updates. All other 'desktop effects are working normally

I am running 64-bit, ATI mobility with mesa-drivers package.

PlayOnLinux have script for Safari. I've installed Safari through PlayOnLinux few times - always running well.

Hmmm.... I remember a long time ago I got it to run under wine. It kept crashing so much I just went back to firefox. I wanted to try it out for the eye candy anywhos, and I am pretty sure there is a firefox theme for that. But this was back in the days of Ubuntu 7.04 being the newest one. There were things I miss, like that old, strange, different feeling of those GNOME versions, and then there is something I hated, which was a lack of wifi support. I will look into it. Thanks.

there seems to more problems here than just transparency now....

since this x-server update - there has been an ati-driver update....

and now my system LOCKS up easily.... I don't know if they don't understand it is an x-server problem, and not a video driver problem....
