Question F12: Trackpad problem on Dell Studio XPS 13

I'm running 64-bit Fedora 12 on my new Dell Studio XPS 13 and I'm having some issues with the trackpad.

Most of the time the trackpad works fine but there are times when the trackpad suddenly stops working. I either have to plug in an external mouse or suspend and resume to activate it again. Note that everything else on the laptop works fine (keyboard, wifi, etc.)

During boot up, I noticed the following udev error messages:

Code:
Starting udev: usb_id[582]: unable to access '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:04.0/usb3/3-4/3-4.2/3-4.2:1.0/input/input9/mouse2'
Starting udev: usb_id[583]: unable to access '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:04.0/usb3/3-4/3-4.2/3-4.2:1.0/input/input9/event9'
Has anyone had this problem of the trackpad suddenly not working at times? As I said, 98% of the time, the trackpad is fine, but sometimes as I'm working and starting up an application, the trackpad 'dies'.
