Hello to everyone,
I am a very new comer to the world of Linux and my first distro is Fedora 12 (32 bit).
I have run through the installation process a couple of times now and feel very comfortable dowloading and installing packages such as VLC, Thunderbird, Banshee, Google Desktop etc etc.
The problem I am trying to address at the moment is the installation of NVIDIA drivers. The PC is a few years old so only has a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card. I understand this is not supported by the most recent RPM available. I have read several posts on this topic but I am finding it difficult to work out what I need to do for my specific hardware.
If someone could describe how I install the drivers for this graphics card, it would be a great help. I will be starting with a clean install of Fedora 12. I do not mind use command line, but as I am newcomer, I don't understand the code or syntax at the moment. Any explainations or suggestions would be gratefully recieved.
Cheers.
