Unstable wireless atheros 242x (AR5007EG)

Hello

I have just switched to Fedora after a disappointing upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10. My computer is a MSI VR610 and mostly it works like a charm so all in all i am pretty content with the current Fedora and do not wish to switch back to ubuntu. I do however have a problem with my wireless internet, as it is quite unstable, when it works as it is supposed to work, the wifi is actually quite fast, but then sometimes it hits a wall and wont connect to anything, and often its just plain slow. I have as stated in the title the atheros 242x (AR5007EG) Chip. So is there anything i can do to improve the stability/performance?
