Fedora 12 root command for Vnc
Uses the VNC way to root Desktop fedora 12, carry out the application program occurs,
Don't run [application program name] as root.
after the fedora12 security enhances, is unable to carry out the root by the vnc way.

It's actually almost funny, and comes under the category of things that make you go hrmm. Due to the separation of yumex front and back ends, as near as I can figure. the way you have to do it is run the command yumex as regular user. Ok, fine. But then, you have to put in root's password.
So, if doing it from vnc, I guess I would do su to any user and run the command.
I wouldn't vnc as root though, unless there was some truly compelling reason to do so.

Scottro, I'm sorry to report that your info is incorrect. The new yumex was especially designed for VNC use. However, it requires to login as an under-user with a shell of /bin/false to use sleep command to gain suro powers aka super-root thingie you know how dangerous it can be to use. Better not mentioning it in the first place...

Thanks "scottro" your reply!
At present tests,is only the VNC Connect in the region network use,
The Fedora 12 VNC version unable to use.
Provides fedora 11 vnc Connect picture. This is feasible.
Same procedure.

Edit: Thanks "Nokia" your reply!

Nokia, I'll take your word over mine, as I don't use yumex--however, when I tried it (in response to another post), a few days ago, it behaved as I mentioned--would not allow itself to be run as root or with sudo, but once begun, demanded the root password. So, what does it do now? Install packages without root password?
