Dan wants to crack down on all the Windows/anti-Windows stuff in the general forum. Probably not a bad idea. There is a special social group for this argument now, feel free to post any thoughts there.

That's the simplified version, but that's also about the size and shape of it. Some folks on both sides have recently lost not only their situational awareness, but also/or their sense of humor. Therefore the debate has become "warmer" than usual, and rather than just slam the lid shut on threads that get into it, and bare our teeth and snarl at those involved, Alfred was good enough to create a "dual-boot" social group, and we've simply referred that type of debate to that social group. (Within reason, of course. See the guidelines for social groups for details.)

However, you all know Alfred's sense of humor can be a bit stunted at times, so as they say here in Texas, "Y'all be keerfull now, ya heer?!" <....>

Here's to Fedora 13, codename Innocent XIII.

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, I'm partial to the "is a Roman Emperor" angle. Who wouldn't want the next codename to be Nero or Caligula?
I'd vote for royal guard stabbing caligula.
Or the Cake Marie Antoinette Baked.
