Unhappy NMB dead!

Hello there,

My nmb service is dead after restarting.

I did type "service nmb restart" but it gives:
Code:
Shutting down NMB services: [FAILED]
Starting NMB services: [ OK ]
And then the status reads:
Code:
# service nmb status
nmbd dead but pid file exists
My scenario is I want to create a BDC with existing Windows Server 2003 PDC.
Can anyone help?

Noel.
