Linux Laptop Powersaving Tips

Are there any methods of increasing power efficiency for linux laptops? Mac has a 30 minute longer battery time

Should I enable or disable laptop mode? How do you change the performance setting of the gpu?
What about cpu undervolting?
Any other powersaving tips?
