Cool Amateur radio sound

I installed OSSv4 on my laptop, which I usually use for ham radio digital transmission modes. I am pleased to say that the "regularly spaced glitches" experienced when using PulseAudio are gone. Thanks to those who encouraged my to installed OSSv4. No regrets.

On another down note; this afternoon I attempted yet another install of the prop. ati fglrx (9.3) vid drivers for the ATI 9600 mobility radion. No joy..screwed up the display completely. Could not even get to a terminal by appending 1 to the kernel line. I had to boot off a live cd, rm the initrd image, edit grub.conf, and then mkinitrd again. Then and only then did X work right again. This was my second (or third?) go-round with this. I tried it about the time F10 hit the streets with the same results...not-withstanding Leigh's How-To.

Anyway, all is well that ends well.

Regards,
Bob
