mic does not work on HP dv6500 in fc11

I just installed fc11 on my laptop. Every thing works fine except the mic.

Before, I tried fc10, it did not work too. I tried follow some instruction to fix the problem, but never success.

And now, the System->Preference->Sound does not have device options.

How I can do now.

If the mic could work for skypey, the fc11 will be the one for me.

It works now.

First, remove pulseaudio and then, use alsamix -c0 to adjust the volume. Usee the alsamix -c0 -Vcapture to set which device for mic and adjust the mics volume.

Now, the recorder and skype work for me.

I have dv600 and have the same problem. How to remove pulse audio?
