Recording thru line-in with Audacity in Fedora 11

I am trying to record through the line in port on my soundcard with Audacity. I can not get it to work because of the stupid Pulse Audio sound server in Fedora 11.

I do not want to use Ardour because of all the extra BS you have to use to get it working.

If anybody has been able to get the line-in port to work with Pulse Audio, please let me know. Thanks.
