Unhappy System-config-display returns error!

Hey folks,

my system-config-display doesn't work anymore. it generates the following error on the console:

File "/usr/share/system-config-display/xconf.py", line 423, in ?
hardware_state.merge_into(xconfig)
NameError: name 'hardware_state' is not defined

I have no clue whatsoever what might have caused it. I allready re-installed the package, but that didn't change anything. Now, i can only hope that some-one knows how to solve this. I really need this tool.

CathodioN.

Advice on the web says to save a copy of your current /etc/X11/xorg.conf file in some other directory and then try
system-config-display --reconfig

adding a certain parameter doens't change anything. It gives the same error.

What is in the new /etc/X11/xorg.conf file? Or are you now without such a file?
