Arrow 3 Annoying Problems (Openbox, mpd, TuxGuitar)

1. fusion-icon runs very good in gnome, but if i run it in openbox, it sends me back to the login screen.

2. I can't create database for mpd or run it.
This is my mpd.conf:
Code:
music_directory "/home/moyiz/Music"
playlist_directory "/home/moyiz/.mpd/Playlists"
db_file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/mpd.db"
log_file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/mpd.log"
error_file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/mpd.error"
pid_file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/pid"
state_file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/mpdstate"
user "moyiz"
bind_to_address "127.0.0.1"
port "6600"
"sudo mpd --create-db" lists all the audio files in the music directory, and then:
Code:
*** glibc detected *** mpd: double free or corruption (out): 0x093c0050 ***

"sudo service mpd start" give almost the same output except this:
Code:
Starting The Music Player Daemon: unable to open db file "/home/moyiz/.mpd/mpd.db": No such file or directory

here are the music files

/bin/bash: line 1: 18245 Segmentation fault /usr/bin/mpd
                                                           [FAILED]
What's wrong?

3. I must kill the "java" proccess when I want to exit TuxGuitar. It crashes on exit.

Help.
Thanks.

I don't know if it's relevant how you installed mpd, but I installed mine with yum, and my ~/.mpdconf is slightly different from yours.

Looking down your conf file, I have the 'pid_file' line commented out, and then all of the options below 'state_file' also commented out. This is the relevant stuff, I think. Below this in my conf file, I have the 'save_absolute_paths_in_playlists' option set to "yes", and I have an Audio Output configuration uncommented, but in need of changing to enable me to hear the output of mpd as well as, for example, the sound of flash videos in Firefox.

Try commenting out the lines I mentioned, and see if you have any luck. It may even be worth having a look at/copying and editing /etc/mpd.conf and do your configuration with that.

Are you wanting to use the conf file at "/etc/mpd.conf" or "~/.mpdconf"? If you're the only person who uses this configuration, you might as well use "~/.mpdconf", as I do, but if not I'd be out of my depth trying to offer help for a multi-user setup.

I have my "~/.mpdconf" file set up as previously said (I can post it in its entirety if you need), but I don't have mpd running as a daemon, preferring to invoke it (incidentally as a part of a script which also runs scmpc and ncmpcpp) from the command line when I want to use it. All are run as my regular (non-root) user, and work more or less as expected.

It's actually an alias I use - not a script - with a line in my "~/.bashrc" reading:

Code:
alias music="mpd ; scmpc ; ncmpcpp"
That's how I run it (typing music), with my conf file at "~/.mpdconf". As for your output, I'm pretty stumped with it. I could recommend removing and reinstalling mpd, but I don't know what I'd be trying to achieve, other than perhaps getting some possible missing dependencies. Our "~/.mpdconf" files differ in that you've written the expanded "/home/moyiz" where I've merely put "~", but I wouldn't have thought this should make any difference.

I've just run mpd --create-db myself, and found it works as expected. Perhaps try reinstalling mpd, and if that doesn't improve the situation try removing (or moving elsewhere) your "~/.mpd/" directory and re-run it.
