Install from Live CD

I am trying to do a fresh install of Fedora 10 from an Installable Live CD. I have partitioned off a section of my current hard drive and I want to dual boot with Windows XP. The installation seems to go fine until I get to the language selection screen in the setup. When this window pops up, the install freezes with no indication of whats happening. Also, I can't read the info that pops up in the language selection box, it's all scrambled up.

I have done a memory test on my computer and verified my install CD is functioning properly.

I am new to Linux and I don't know where to go from here.

It has also been suggested that it's because I'm using a Dell computer, which doesn't have all the right drivers? If so, which drivers are missing? Graphics?

Hi

In, the initial live cd prompt, press tab and try adding "nomodeset" at the end of the kernel line and press enter to boot. Check if that solves your problem
