No, Fedora 10 does not come with xorg.conf by default. It can be created thou. One way is system-config-display, but that needs X server. The other one is:

su -
Xorg -configure

Try that and see if driver set to vesa. Reboot. If that works, then change it to nv.

I ran your instructions. Got back a list of different things, like the last five were geode, rendition, i128, fbdev, and vesa. Then it said (++) Using config file: "/root/xorg.conf.new"
Number of created screens does not match number of detected devices.
Configuration failed.

I actually just found my solution through another post on here, everything is working now. I'll post again soon with the exact link, I'm on my phone right now.
