F8 on Macbook no WIF, No cam

fedora 8 install on macbook wit Air port and built in web cam.
web cam not seen by F8, I used Network Manger selected Air Port for etho1, went to Activate got a pop up box telling me that Air port is not on this laptop.


HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant afford much more hear loss

I've seen on other threads some say they have wifi working using F9 and maybe F10. Have you tried installing F10? Is your wifi card an Airport Extreme or just Airport?

F9 or F10 not yet but looking in to the Air port extreme thought. the mac book belongs to a friend of mine she got it at a flee market the disk that she got for it tells me that the OS X can not be installed but it dose let me run the tools that are on the disk.

Fedora 8 is no longer supported and won't receive any updates... You're much better off upgrading to Fedora 10.

Very true, and Fedora 8 was a ***** to get working properly on a MacBook.

ya I am swaying my thinking to go with F10 but this macbook is a 32Bit entell duo core I am hoping on getting the wifi and the cam to work. I know that my Dell is hopeless for getting the wifi to work. I have to get a USB wifi that will play with Lenux or just Fedora
