Fedora 10 KDE mouse sensitivity

The mouse sensitivity maximum, is limited to a very small value. The only option to make the mouse fast, is to set a high acceleration rate. Which isn't handy.

Is there any method for increasing the "pointer threshold" for over 20 pixels?
(in the keyboard & Mouse- System settings options)

Don't quite understand: what are your current settings?
Under System Settings=>Keyboard and Mouse=>Mouse=>Advanced, I got (should be default values):
Pointer acceleration: 2.0 x
Pointer threshold: 4 pixels
Double click interval: 400 msec
Drag start time: 500 msec
Drag start distance: 4 pixels
mouse wheel scrolls by: 3 lines

Is your system software all up-to-date?? What version of KDE are you on???

The settings, have exactly these options you posted. I hope that is to make not necessary answering the other questions.

The issue, is that "Pointer threshold" is limited to 20, while I want it to be a higher value.

Basically, I don't want any acceleration, I want the pointer to move, accordingly to the mouse movement, without any acceleration.

In other words, when I move the mouse(well touchpad, but same crap) distance X, I expect the pointer to move distance Y on the screen. Without any relativity to the duration of the movement, velocity of the mouse, or anything else. Whenever the mouse is moved X distance, pointer moves Y distance. 2X - 2Y, etc'.

That can be achieved, by acceleration 0, I suppose, although minimal is 0.1. Well, 0.1 is close enough to 0, I won't complain.
