Yes, but have you checked that it didn't overwrite any system files? You should verify xorg-x11-server-Xorg and mesa-libGL (rpm -Va xorg-x11-server-Xorg mesa-libGL). Besides this, using .run file means you have to manually recompile the kernel module each time you update the kernel... not that huge of a deal, but it's much easier (especially for new users) to grab kmods via yum.
