Dual Boot Vista problem help needed

Hi, i'm tying to dual boot Vista64 (already installed) and Fedora 10 x86_64. I am running a Dell XPS 410 running 2 sata hard drives raid 0 (ICH8DH). I started the process by shrinking my C drive on disk0 leaving 64.45GB of unallocated space. Next I rebooted into Fedora install DVD and when i get to blue graphical install screen i get message asking if my drive is GPT and if it is it may be corrupted. I click NO, and it comes up with a message telling me i have to initialize my drive if i want to use it ( have to click NO twice) and if i do it i will lose all my data. i can click no and keep proceding through the install until i get to the partition setup screen. No hard drives or partitions are shown. I've tried googling the problem and get bits of pieces of information scattered in different parts but nothing conclusive to my problem i think. As far as my background of knowledge goes, I'm new to the linux community but give me a thorough guide and i'll do fine (i hope). I've been using fedora on a separate laptop for 2 days now

GUID Partition Table (GPT)

you might want to format that partition to ext3 using gparted live cd
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
and if that goes fine see if fedora will install
also read the install guide

Thank you for the reply. Once I booted with gparted i noticed what was happening. It's not detecting my raid0 created through the motherboard, it detects the hard drives seperately and i guess when it tries to read the info on the hdd it cant make sense of anything. I wonder how to over come this : /

that most likely is the MICROSOFT software raid controller and for that to work vista MUST be running .
as to over coming this ?? not sure ?
have you done a search about it ?

Yes, probably about 2 hrs of googling terms such as raid0 vista dual boot fedora fake raid etc. I wiped vista remade the raid0 through intel matrix storage on boot. Fedora just won't recognize my bios raid. I'm wondering maybe a command through setup to force detection of bios raid. Setup guide says dmraid is enabled ( got this from the fact that it only gives command to disable)

. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Only alternative I see is to get a 3rd drive and install on that.

with raid i know about as much as you do ( i don't use it )
have you cone through the fedora 10 install doc's

BIOS-based RAID support (dmraid) is broken in the F10 installer. See: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=474399 Try F9 or wait for F11.

Great! Ty for notifying me about it being a bug. I guess will wait until fedora 11 comes out. In the meantime I will continue to use on my laptop and VM.
