Angry No Video Display

i just get RHEL5 Desktop to install it on HP550 laptop during the installation with graphic mode it's doesn't work for that i install it in the text mode. now when i restart the laptop it's going directly to text mode even if i try startx or xinit it doesn't work. if i'm not wrong RHEL didn't detect the video card.! how this could happend cause i try fedora 9 and 10 in the same laptop and it's work fine...................please help
