Exclamation system-config-services menu entry dead?

I can no longer run system-config-services from the System->Administration->Services entry, its there and chugs away if you click it, but nothing happens.

/usr/bin/system-config-services (or sbin or gui.py) work fine from the console, however if I run it as root from the console, I get a load of python errors if I click anything:

Code:

Hello:
I have the same issue with F10 x86_64 and as far as I can tell, it's related to the ongoing dbus bug/issue.

If you do a quick search on the forum or bugzilla you can find more information if you need to.

ah i was wondering why i heard so much about dbus but didn't seem to have any symptons, it turns out i was!

thats why searching for this issue didn't return anything much, its part of dbus, not its own issue.

Try launching as follows in a terminal:

su - [ENTER] The - must also be placed after su. This appears to work for me but otherwise same problem.

/usr/bin/system-config-services
