Thank you for your reply, and I had noticed all of the above.
I shall try and install the modem as suggested in other threads on this forum
I have the Fedora 9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Bible by Christopher Negus as a very good guide as well.
The modem is not installed by the network configuration, and has to be done by installing the ueagle-atm driver, then the kernel headers, then the configuration iitself.
Too much hassle, I might try it, if it doesn't work, I'll buy a Router/Modem instead.
