Question MacBook Pro (4,1) + Fedora 8 + Airport Extreme Base Station + WPA / WPA2 ?

As stated above, I have installed Fedora 8 on a MacBook Pro (4,1). The wireless network in my home runs through an Airport Extreme Base Station. With no encryption turned on, I can connect to the Airport Extreme on the Fedora side, even with SSID broadcast turned off and with MAC address filtering turned on. After hours upon hours of trying, I have been unable to connect using WPA or WPA2. With WPA / WPA2 Personal turned on with respect to the AEBS, I have been able to connect using WPA2 on both the OS X side and the Windows XP side (the MBP is setup to triple boot).

Has anyone been able to get a MacBook Pro (4,1 - Penryn) running Fedora 8 to connect to an Airport Extreme Base Station using WPA or WPA2? Thanks in advance!!!
