Hi guys,

I need some help with my network permissions. I did have Samba, SeLinux and the firewall setup so everything worked.

Then I was playing with the port scanner on another machine and scanned the Samba server, and now can't access my shares from that system, every other system works.

I can't find anywhere online what says how to reset the blocked system list.

Thanks for your help.

Hello game_plan:

I split your question off into it's own new thread, since it seems to be unrelated to the original question where it was posted.

In most cases, we ask and appreciate when someone searches for an answer, and posts additions to existing threads rather than starting a new one, but in this case, I think you'll get better responses this way.

Welcome to Fedora Forums,
V

Which method/software are you using to create the blocked system list? Maybe look in /etc/hosts.deny?

I'm not, the system did something automatically.

I've tried accessing the system with both the system firewall (I have a network firewall still) and SE Linux disabled and still my laptop (the one used for the port scan) is not able to see shares, but it can see the system.

Would Samba block access?

Update: It's not Samba, since I just tried at add NFS access to the same areas and my other linux system can mount them, but the laptop cannot.

Please help!
