Can't update Perl thru Software Updater

I cannot update Perl to 5.8.8 because all it does is spin it's wheels searching for dependencies. It gets to about 40% and doesn't get past that. I have to kill the process to quit the Updater program. Here's the package info:

This fixes bugzilla 379791 and 460095 for Fedora 8 (Fedora 9+ are not affected by this problem). This update does not close/touch those bugs, because they are filed against RHEL.

Yes, all the other updates have gone thru with the new key since the beginning of this week.
