Patched my laptop typing problem

I took a Patch last night and now I can't type my password at the login prompt? If I drop to a shell I can type?
Where do I start to fix this?

Running Fedora 9 Toshiba Portege m700.
Don't know what else to post I can't get into the system to get info.

Well figured it out on my own.
Seems the patching for some odd reason made the Xorg.conf file screw up.

Hmmmmm, I think this gotcha might have caught me too. I applied a bunch of updates last night (including an X.org one) and then when I logged in as a different user (restarting X in the process) my wireless mouse stopped working. I'll check my xorg.conf.
