I usually write my documents in my language: Catalan. On Fedora 9 I installed the packages myspell-ca and hunspell-ca in order to obtain the dictionaries for the corrector.
The problem is that even though I can choose Catalan as document language, the corrector doesn't work well. What happens is that it can't detect "plurals" or the words genre. For example:
If I write: "car", there is no problem. But if I write "cars", the corrector says that it is wrong but, of course it isn't. And this happen with all the words.
What I tried was to install manually a dictionary but, kind of weird, I can't find this option in OpenOffice on Fedora. The path is: File > Wizards > Install dictionaries, and it can be found in OOo running on Windows or Ubuntu, for example, but not in Fedora... why?.
How can I install manually the Catalan dictionary?.
