Unhappy Battle to install FC9 or just use FC5/6

I have a Compaq/HP DL360 G1 Server. I am having a heck of a time getting the drivers to work with FC9 to recognize the SCSI drives. I know there are reports of people having Fedora Core 5 working on their G1 Server. Are there any reports of FC6 working with the G1 DL360 servers?

I do not fully understand the differences between FC5 and FC9 other than newer versions/builds. Does an older version like FC5 more prone to security attacks or is it still pretty secure?

Should I just scrap the FC9 idea and install FC5 or FC6?

Any help would be awesome! Thanks guys!

FC5 and 6 are no longer supported, so any new security fixes will not find their way into those versions. If the server is critical, I'd consider going with CentOS, as it has the same life-cycle as RedHat. Fedora is only supported for about 13 months from release.
