Ran another update last night. Same NetworkManager updates present, same problem (update would not complete until I deselected the NetworkManager updates; after that it finished without a hitch, including kernel update.)

slow sendmail on bootup

sendmail solution (slow bootup) on my Dell Latitude D505, with cable to router and cable modem, Fedora 9, still there.

/etc/hosts has the right entries, but it listed localhost6 instead of localhost in the ::1.
Tried changing that by removing 6, no luck. Changed back.

Any ideas?

ifconfig -d
shows appropriate eth0 link: 192.168.0.101, which responds to a ping nicely after bootup.
That's the right address, according to my router configurator.

I also have eth1 (wireless), with no obvious complaints from ifconfig, and it pings as well.

The last line of ifconfig -d, for lo shows 9036 errors, address 127.0.0.1, and 527 kBytes, but no other obvious complaints. Could this be responsible? This address, pings nicely after bootup.
