I have tried Brasero and Gnomebaker both with KDE and Gnome with similar failures.

Then after reading this thread http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/sho...dora+k3b+error
I tried:-

Code:
sudo wodim -v -dao -dev='/dev/scd0' -driveropts=burnfree /home/Chris/Fedora-9-i386-DVD/Fedora-9-i386-DVD.iso
Which produced this error:-

I have also downloaded F9 i386 6 CD version which also will not burn, but do progress further than the DVDs.

The Writer hardware is less than a year old and worked fine in windows XP when I burned the F8 iso using the same media type, so I'm hoping its a software fix issue rather than this. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your point of view something makes XP extremely unstable on this system so I have no alternative at present than to use F8. F8 was my main OS before so I really do not miss XP all that much.

Any thoughts before my PC goes out of the window would be welcomed.
