I haven't tried wine 0.9.58 or lower because it comes with yum.
In Fedora 9 preview I've tried to compile wine 0.9.59, 0.9.60, 0.9.61 and 1.0-rc1 and the compiler keeps crashing at the same point. ( in Fedora 8 I only attempted to compile wine 0.9.59 and compiled fine with no crashes )
I've tried to compile both as host and inside vmware and both come back with same results ( I thought it might have been vmware causing the problem )
I want to use newsleecher in wine... newsleecher works fine in Ubuntu 8.04 ( wine 0.9.59 ), Mandriva 2008 ( wine 0.9.60 )... but not in Fedora 8 ( wine 0.9.58 ) and not in Fedora 9 preview ( wine 0.9.58 ) and I compiled wine 0.9.59 in Fedora 8 with no problems but still won't execute newsleecher
Makes me wonder what redhat has modified in wine... as far as I can see... I've got all the required libs installed... I was wondering if anyone else was having the same problems... under Fedora 9 preview before I decide to report this as a bug
These compiler crashes have been happening since the first release of Fedora 9 preview ( I don't know about previous versions of Fedora 9 as I didn't try Fedora 9 until the preview )
and please... I don't want no suggestions that I should wait for them ( whoever responsible for updating wine on yum ) to compile it... and Fedora 9 is up to date based from the official yum
The command options I use is what is in the documentation
The errors I see are these ( this is for wine 1.0-rc1 but the same for the other versions I tried to compile in Fedora 9 preview )./configure
