ADSL setup problem

Hello all,
I'm having problem configuring my Fedora Core 1 Linux with Huawei SmartAX MT882 USB ADSL modem.I tried to work a lot myself on it.I compiled the modem driver,replaced it with default CDCEther Driver.Fixed Kudzu which was segment faulting.
At last i could see my modem installed as eth0 with status ok,i used adsl-setup to make a new connection & verified that new connection has all perimiters correct.I also fixed /etc/resolv.conf & make it point to /etc/ppp/resolf.conf so that it now point to correct DNS info.

But when i activated the connection from K-Menu->System Tools->Network the status of connection showed active,modem lights also show change,also ifconfog command did produce expected results.But i couldn't open any site.Also i tried to ping with ip address instead of domain name.It produced connect:error.I'm really frustated by all this.
Can anyone help me connect to internet & free me up from using Windoze

If you have a switch or hub laying around, plug the DSL into the DSL jack, plug a patch cable into the Ethernet jack and then plug the other end of the patch cable into the hub/switch. Plug your computer into the hub/switch and you should be good to go.
