I'd also like to know as I want to balance the amount of available bandwidth between the available clients, and to assure a minimum amount. So say, I have a 10 clients network and an available 5mbit bidirectional connection and I'd like to be able to make it so that if no hosts are using any bandwidth, any client could use all avialable bandwidht, however if all clients are working at full capacity, I'd like to limit the amount of bandwidth so each client would get an "even minimum" of say 512kbits/sec, to ensure proper operation of services such as VoIP, IM, web, etc. I was thinking on doing this with a Linu bridge/router, and a Fedora machine more specifically... How can that be done, if at all?
TIA!
