No module sata_sil found for kernel 2.6.0-1.21, aborting.

I tried to install kernel-2.6.0-1.21.i686.rpm, but received the following warnings and errors:

mkinitrd failed

What does this mean? What should I do?

Get the kernel sources and compile a new kernel yourself. Include support for all your hardware. It might be that the RPM package's kernel is not very optimized for your system.
