USB Devices in Linux where they are placed and how to recognize them?+ Kandy problem

Hi All !!!!

1) Ok guys, for the truth of the things I know a little bit about USB in Linux.... But not as much as I wish to know.
First of all if someone be so kindfull and tell me how do I recognize them in "/dev" folder? Is this marked like "ttyS"? or "lp"? (what is "ttyS" and "lp" anyway?) On my PC I have "usbview" tool which tells me about USB devices connected to my computer but I can't find there some "port" description, I mean like with HD drivers when you know, to which "hda" the "/boot" and "/" relate, so HOW can I recognize my USB ports?

2) If some one familiar to "kandy", 'cause thats where the roots are coming from .... I mean I've tried to connect my cell phone to PC but with no success. The "usbview" can recognize it, futhermore I've found there "configure" option which leads to "/proc/bus/usb/devices" and this is the info from that file:
