HOW TO share a internet connection through wifi??

We have 2 laptop(my friend's runs Windows, mine Fedora 4) with wifi in the room and only 1 internet connection.

For now, I have the internet connection and How can I share it through wifi? I have to play a role of router? or some soft else need to be installed?

all kind of suggest will be appreciated.

if you have wifi connection between both computers (ie. ping,transfer files,etc)
then in root type
echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_foward

and change the windows net config gateway to point to the Fedora computers ip address
