Question X.org dies: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ID: -1

Since last week X.org has become very unstable. X dies and restarts itself at random times (sometimes in less than a minute, and sometimes after 10+ hours). I have searched the forums, and tried the various fixes- including creating a new account, re-creating .Xauthority, and changing permissions in /tmp. Nothing seems to be fixing it. I even installed an older kernel and older NVIDIA drivers, but still no success. Any ideas or suggestions are most welcome. My Xorg.0.log and startx.log.txt is attached below. The haldaemon is running on my system.
Attached Files
File Type: txt Xorg.0.log.old.txt (26.9 KB, 39 views)
File Type: txt startx.log.txt (47.6 KB, 37 views)

The log mentions some 64 bit libraries, so this is on a FC3_64 bit system?

They say "Everybody loves a mystery" -except if it concerns computers. You already investigated things having to do with Xauthority, mentioned in Xorg.0.log and the HAL daemon mentioned in startx.log.txt. Does the Xorg.1.log have the log of a crash and the Xorg.1.log the log of a failed restart? Doe you crash when root owns the desktop? What does
xauth list
show?

Try switching your driver to nv, then restarting X with Ctrl+ALT+Backspace
