I just updated the MenuX extension. This extension is made for fullscreen browsing or laptop use where you want maximum screen realestate. Basically you can collapse just about everything in the Firefox UI but still navigate via a new panel added to the status bar.

There is an option via rightl-click to have MenuX catch all Ctrl+L key shortcuts so the navigation panel will spring open even if all toolbars are collapsed.

Additionally, Download Manager Dialog is available in a sidebar! There is also a Menu popup which duplicates all the Firefox menu items so you can keep the Menu toolbar collapsed all the time.
