I made a new Fedora 17 (64 bit) install on my clevo p180HM laptop and there is no sound!: It worked on Fedora 16 (64 bit) with the newest available kernel 3.4.x but on Fedora 17 no chance. The only difference I did with the Fedora 17 install was that I used the akmod-nvidia
instead of using the nvidia driver from nvidia.com.There has been a recent bug report (Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 836741)
but with the update I got a new kernel yesterday the no sound problem remains. here are diverse outputs from my machine:

UPDATE: Sound works fine when loging in as root but not as regular user (permission problem?). Tried to add user to group audio but to no avail.
Any suggestions and help are highly appreciated!
Thank you!
