Cool FC16 > 17 Grub Display Garbled

Did a dvd/iso upgrade from F16 to F17 (thats a whole 'nother story). The Text/Display that is supposed to show up when Grub first boots is now just garbled - no readable text.

I do see a quick GRUB for about 1 second.

it is a dual boot with Win XP. It was working just fine in F16.

F17 is totally up to date and i did follow this to see if it would help:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=281792

But its still garbled but with some color.

This is on a Lenovo R61 laptop.

Any info on how to fix this is appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: FC16 > 17 Grub Display Garbled

Solved - Found this link - http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=280243

and followed this:
Re: Grub2 video issue after upgrade
After adding GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480 to /etc/default/grub, you need to run:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
This will also be run automatically next time yum adds a new kernel and /boot/grub2/grub.cfg is automatically updated

Set mine at: GRUB_GFXMODE=1024x768

Now it works as it should.

Now to resolve the wonky Touchpad issue.
