One more question about GNOME3 and Fedora 16

people, i've made a clean instalation of fedora16 with gnome3 but after reboot all i can see is the wallpapper and the mouse... nothing more... and nothing works... mouse moves but right click does nothing, ALT+F2 does nothing and the only shell i can see is the CTRL+ALT+F1 that i can't log in because is being used by the system...
at the second reboot the up bar appeared but only with the buttons at the right side of the screen... same way i clicked the buttons and nothing happens...
help?

Do you have any GNOME Shell extensions installed? I've seen this problem on other distros when theres an extension installed in /home/(userid)/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions that isn't compatible with a slightly newer version of the GNOME Shell.

Try renaming the above folder to extensionsBACKUP or something similar, log off and on again and see if that works.

man inside user folder I have just .gnome2 and .mozilla folders

Since the system is kind of "dead", try

yum reinstall gnome-shell

from a virtual terminal (CTRL+ALT+Fn)

I cannot think of any other solution. May be this will help.

If you have set the 'Have File Manager handle the Desktop' to 'on' under 'Advanced Setting' I have lost my Desktop visible stuff. If you start Nautilus it comes back right away. Everything else was working however. This is probably not the issue, but it had me scratching my head when it first happened to me. Cheers...

tryed that but since i was not connected to the internet it could not find the repositories... today i'll try to make a offline repositorie with the dvd and try again to reinstall
