just installed KDE on my F16:
after the first 85 seconds of use, here are the obvious advantages:
1. a bug with an Eclipse Android plugin -- gone
2. open app bar in the bottom of screen visible, enabling a one- vs GNOME's two-click app switch (i LOVE this)
3. organization of apps by functional domain (dev, media etc.)
4. multiple instances of the same app enabled and easier (in GNOME i could open only a single Eclipse and multiple Firefox instances had to go through an existing instance rather than OS)
5. better media players included in the shell (amarok etc.)
