Unhappy No sound after update

Hi
I just updated F16 and after rebooting thre is no sound anymore. From time to time I hear short snaps from different speakers and that is all sound I have now. At first I thought it could be new kernel 3.3, I booted previous one 3.2.10-3 but the result is the same. Also with this update a lot of other stuff were updated so I don't know what to blame
Now I need some help to locate and amend the problem

Re: No sound after update

Have you checked the ALSA sound volume ?
I once installed some of those packages upon a minimal install, and still had no sound, figured, the volume level was set to 0.

Re: No sound after update

Yes, I checked the volume immediately, it didn't change, and as I said I can hear loud snaps from time to time. No audio program tells me that there is some problem, for example audio player plays music well (at least it thinks so) but there is no sound

I also created a new user to check default settings, unfortunately the new user has the same problem as me

Hm... that's strange
Today I found that sound works again, I did nothing for that. The only outstanding thing is yerstaday I booted windows to watch a movie. Sometime in the past I had problem when there were no internet in Linux until I boot Windows and then back to Linux. Hope I don't need to use this workaround for sound
