Blue Tint in videos (fedora 16)

Hey for some reason chrome is throwing me an error, and im not sure why its doing this. Every time i go to view a YouTube video it is missing a color channel, at least i think that's whats wrong, but Firefox works perfectly fine. I prefer chrome, however, and would like some help resolving this.

Any Ideas?

Re: Blue Tint in videos (fedora 16)

I just tried out that video on my system (in chrome), and it works fine for me. You probably need to give more details about your system (what type of graphics, etc.).

I'm using flash-plugin-11.1.102.63-release.x86_64 with google-chrome-stable-17.0.963.79-125985.x86_64 on Fedora 16 with Radeon graphics.

Re: Blue Tint in videos (fedora 16)

Well, I have the same problem in my PC. I have:

- Linux Fedora 3.2.9-2.fc16.i686.PAE
- Nvidia 512MB GeForce 8600 GT.
- Nvidia driver 290.10.
- flash-plugin-11.1.102.63-release.i386
- chromium & chrome, both stable: 17.0.963.79

When I try to see any video/animation with flash, the only thing that I see is a Sad Face and no videos.

I'm thinking that the bug begins when I install days ago hte nvidia driver, and unable Nouveau driver from the kernel line boot. I try to debug the error executing chromium/chrome from Terminal, but nothing appears...

So, now I'm using Firefox, witch works perfectly!

Meaby we have to wait for some update from flash, chrome or nvidia driver.

Thanks you for posting up your specs and everything helps me know I'm not alone, and im thinking it's a chome driver conflict since flash works perfectly fine in Firefox, the problem only emerges when were on chrome. Main reason this sucks for me is because I'm a web designer....need chrome for webkit texting.

Re: Blue Tint in videos (fedora 16)

I read somewhere where using xv overlay causes blue tinting. That is why Intel is using textured overlay.

Here is something on it.

Re: Blue Tint in videos (fedora 16)

I have the same issue on my PC. I use Fedora 16 64bit (3.3.0.4), stable Chrome 17, Nvidia GF 9600GT 512MB (290.10), Adobe Flash stable (11.2.202.228).

I got this problem after updating Flash. Now I can see Smurfs everywhere on YouTube :| But new version of Flash have fixed my previous problem with Flash on Chrome- it was laggy (6-12fps) on fullscreen, but now it is smooth (24-30).

Right click on video, choose options, and then disable hardware accelleration. More here:
