installation

In earlier version of fedora we are able to install mnay software from DVD and no internet required for the installation.but when i installed F16 it was 3.5 gb and also used internet during installation. but still not all the software not enlisted .especially like software related settings configuration in details. why this happened.is it possible to install the complete list of software ...

There are two (or were) different installation disks. It sounds like you used the "Live" install. I've always downloaded and used the FULL install DVD specifically for the reasons you mention.

If you used the 3.5 GB DVD, you should be able to install packages. If you are looking more software than what is in the DVD, you can connect to internet during installation.

Is it possible that some items you are looking for are in different groups or are you not getting a package selection screen at all? What do you mean by "software related settings configuration in details"?
