Elantech Touchpad Pressure Issues

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a Samsung RF511 Laptop which has a Elantech Touch pad.

I know in the past there was a bug with this touch pad where it was getting recognized as a Logitech wheel mouse but this issue is completely different.

The touch pad gets recognized correctly but it's really hard to use I have to press down quite hard to move the cursor and it's just generally laggy.

Any help would be great!

I searched for you for alternate drivers and did not found.
Try to install this tool tool to configure your device:

If not works you should try KDE and see if it works better there (not sure if it will, but worth a shot)? (assuming you're using gnome)

Thanks for the reply. I will give it a couple more days to see if I can find a solution and I might just have to try KDE.

I edited my message.
Try the gpointing-device-settings package (see the screenshot) and see if you can calibrate you touchpad from there. I'm not sure if the package is related to the xorg driver, but worth a try.
