Not sure what problem you could possibly be having. All you need to do is:
1. Download the LiveCD ISO to a file of your choice
2. Burn CD image to CD Disk using K3B or disk burning program of choice
3. Boot your computer to that disk
4. Select "Install to Hard drive"
Follow all prompts. Within an hour or two, you will be booting to your new OS. It's just that easy. There are a few tweaks you will need to do to personalize it to your own needs. But, the initial system should be up and running within an hour and no more than 2.
