9300M G Fedora driver installation problem can't install the driver.

I've done the following:

1. edit /etc/inittab #change runlevel to 3 and save
2. edit /boot/grub/grub.conf #add/edit "rdblacklist=nouveau" to the end of the kernel line, this will stop the system from loading nouveau driver. save and reboot.
3. System restarts, log in as root, go to your download folder where you downloaded Nvidia driver and install GCC, kernel-devel*, yum -y install gcc kernel-devel*
4. Run nvidia installer as 'sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-260.19.36.run

after that message pop ups -

NVIDIA Software Installer for Unix/Linux

ERROR: Unable to find the module utility `lsmod`; please make sure
you have the package 'module-init-tools' installed. If you do have module-init-tools installed, then please check that `lsmod` is in your PATH.

module-init-tools installed.

checked all known forums for this issue, no solution.
Please help.

Re: 9300M G Fedora driver installation problem can't install the driver.

instead of trying to install the nvidia drivers from the nvidia source, I have found it is much simpler to install from the rpm's that are in the rpmfusion repo.

follow leigh123linux's guide here

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=204752

He has done a lot of work to help people out and has come up with this great guide thanks leigh!

But.. to answer your question...

Code:
yum install module-init-tools
will install lsmod for you. (should be installed to /sbin/lsmod)
